A Night to Remember
Friends and supporters of Anthony Quinn Foundation joined entrepreneur and philanthropist John Rosatti in New York City aboard the super-luxury Christiansen mega yacht Remember When to kick off a year-long celebration and fundraising campaign that commemorates the artistic life of Anthony Quinn. The evening featured a star-studded guest list including actor Burt Young and former NYC Mayor David Dinkins.

It was smooth sailing at the Anthony Quinn Centennial Celebration on Tuesday night aboard the luxury motor yacht Remember When at the North Cove Marina in New York City.
Established by Anthony Quinn's widow Katherine Quinn, the Centennial Celebration's aim is to recognize the 100th anniversary of his birth through a series of retrospectives and fundraisers, and establish an endowment to fund arts education scholarships to benefit young adults throughout the world who seek to further their artistic talents through intensive summer education programs. The organization features Bill Cosby, Kirk Douglas and Larry King as honorary chairs, while Anjelica Huston, Candice Bergen, Audra McDonald and Rosie Perez, among others, are part of the Centennial committee.
"I started the foundation because Tony spent his life immersed in the arts — the arts as a part of life, not just entertainment, and I wanted something not only to remember his legacy but to promote the importance of the arts," said Katherine. "I started this right after he passed away in 2001, and I thought, instead of giving gifts and sending flowers, people can make donations."
Actor Burt Young, former New York City mayor David Dinkins and former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Dante Stallworth dined on Adobe beef short ribs, chicken parmigiana and blue cheese-infused watermelon while sipping mojitos and chardonnay.
"Katherine started because she wanted high school kids to realize their dreams and passions," said Sean, Anthony Quinn's son. "What we are targeting is passionate high-schoolers that need that extra bump. The key is targeting teens who may not be the best and the brightest but the most passionate about what they do."
