Hannah Rose

2016 Dance Scholarship Recipient

Hannah's passion for dancing began at the age of nine when she initially joined as a substitute for a sports team. However, she quickly developed a deep love for dance, recognizing its positive impact on her mind and body. Hannah was diagnosed with Aortic Valve Disease at a young age, and her mother understood the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. Enrolling her in extracurricular sports teams, it was dance that truly resonated with Hannah.

Not only does dance bring her joy, but it also keeps her heart healthy and functioning. She finds the constant pursuit of perfection in dance fascinating, as it requires discipline and strength. Hannah believes that her dance training has provided her with valuable tools that extend beyond the studio and into her everyday life. Her dream is to work in the field she loves, and she actively works to improve her dance skills through regular training and attending summer intensives.

In pursuit of her future aspirations, Hannah wishes to enhance her acting and vocal abilities, as her ultimate goal is to perform on Broadway. To achieve this, she has chosen to attend the Boston Conservatory Musical Theater Dance Intensive. This intensive offers focused dance training along with vocal and theater classes, making it the perfect opportunity for Hannah to deepen her skills in all three genres of performance. She is excited about the chance to work with faculty members who are Broadway veterans and to be part of a program affiliated with one of her dream schools. While she may feel a bit nervous about her limited training in vocal and theater, Hannah is confident in her ability to handle any challenges she may face during this experience.
