Blake Croft

2019 Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Blake has been drawn to the world of theatrical arts since the age of 11, when he performed in his first musical. This initial exposure ignited a strong passion within him, leading him to focus all his energy on improving as a performer. He actively sought out opportunities to participate in plays and musicals while taking private lessons in acting, dance, and vocals. Theatre quickly became his primary passion, permeating every aspect of his life and providing a spark that changed his outlook on the world. The roles he has played, such as Bert in "Mary Poppins" and Phil Davis in "White Christmas," allowed him to connect with different characters and discover glimpses of himself within them. His dedication and love for theatre have only grown over the years, propelling him to strive for his full potential as a performer.

Blake sees the Music Theatre Intensive at FSU as a significant leap forward in his theatrical aspirations. Recognized for its exceptional theatre staff and accomplished alumni, FSU offers him the opportunity to learn from professionals in the field and experience the reality of professional theatre.
