Zoe Dongas

2016 Musical Theatre Scholarship Recipient

Zoe, a junior in high school, has had a deep love for singing since her childhood. She has actively pursued her passion by participating in choirs, bands, and receiving guidance from her voice teacher. As she has grown older, Zoe's focus has shifted towards musical theater singing, finding an irresistible allure in portraying a character who expresses their conflicts and desires through powerful songs. Zoe aspires to devote her life to singing, pouring her entire being into performances that touch hearts and evoke emotions. That is why she finds the AMDA High School Vocal Music Conservatory Program, with its emphasis on musical theater singing, to be of great importance.

Zoe considers it a great honor to be taught by experienced and diverse teachers who can impart their knowledge to her. The program offers an opportunity for her to learn from a wide range of individuals and develop her ability to connect with audiences on a universal level. Zoe hopes to form friendships with like-minded peers who share her dedication to singing and hopes to deepen her understanding of musical theater repertoire and the art of connecting with a song.

By attending this program, Zoe aims to enhance her skills in musical theater singing and make her performances more poignant and impactful, as singing allows her to touch the very core of a person. Singing is Zoe's true love, and she believes there is no better way to spend her summer than immersing herself in this program.
